The realm  between darkness and light,  night and day,  sleep and awake,  Death  and  Life.  Beginning  and  End.   
What Twilight truly IS  I've no idea.   
Is it possible,  Nay  PROBABLE  that Twilight is only what it is?  The Sun  falling from the sky  to bring rise to the Moon.  The Moon  following the Sun's example  Day  after Day.   
A never-ending cycle.
